Door Knob Fix
Jen wanted to get all of the doorknobs around the how to match. We had a variety of brass, brushed nickel and glass doorknobs on the second floor and while shopping for brushed nickel round some “new” glass knob options.

But upon trying to install them, found they were designed for doors with a smaller bore and expected the “rose” (the part that covers the hole) expected to screw into the wood of the door.

I was not going to replace the actual door, so needed a solution. First, I thought of buying machine screws that matched the look of the wood screws and get a “coupler” nut to join them inside the door. With this in mind, I drove to Home Depot only to learn that they close at 6:00 on Sundays.
On the ride home, I realized I could probably 3D print a coupler that could actually use the existing wood screws. A simple TinkerCad model later

The picture up top shows the final solution. I just wish the rose was a little bigger so I wouldn’t have to repaint the door.
